Myall Beach in Cape Tribulation is where the Daintree rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef. Vines run down to the sand and time is forgotten along an ancient coast. This gorgeous pair of striped Australian Sapphires encapsulated this area so perfectly, I felt I didn't have a choice but to use them in a Driftwood.
The natural stripes in a sapphire (called Zoning) are as unique as a finger print, setting apart this classic silhouette with stones that are impossible to exactly replicate. They shift between green, blue, teal and yellow based on angle and light source, making them hard to capture on camera.
*It’s the Friday before Christmas, photos were taken in haste and will be replaced with better ones (where the stones have been cleaned properly) eventually!
