Duet Cognac Diamond & Australian Sapphire Ring

This is one of those rings that you can’t help but play with. The way the light catches and plays within these two stones is out of a dream. 

The sapphire was custom cut for me for my winning JAA Competition Entry “Parched”, and exhibits the Sergeant Stripes phenomenon which the cutter has aligned with the edges of the stone, forming an angled mirror inside the stone. 

The diamond - what can I say! Flashing warm honey tones against a chocolate lay brown, this diamond has some incredible inclusions and is endlessly fascinating. Two of these inclusions reach the surface of the stone, where under magnification the crystal structure of the diamond is visible!
