Custom appointments are offered for a complimentary first one-hour session, to look through the in-store collection, and talk designs and ideas. This is followed by the second appointment, by which time if needed, alternate gems have been sourced and we can refine our design ideas to the finished concept.

Second and third appointments each incur a non-refundable fee of $200 to be put towards the final amount.

What does this look like?

To start a custom design, we start by finding the perfect gemstone.

This process may take up to 2 appointments, and works by receiving stones from suppliers and gemcutters.

The first appointment we take a look through the collection of pieces that I have considered too good to pass on. We talk about size, colour and shape, and start putting together the aspects of the piece that mean the most to you and your partner.

During these appointments we will put pencil to paper to arrive at the right design,  before a detailed quote is given. It is important to talk about and let me know what your preferred spend is, so that the second and third appointments are streamlined with an array of choices that are not too far over what you are comfortable with.

Stones can be held for up to one week without a deposit before the collected stones have to be returned back to the cutters, meaning if you fall in love with the stone, a minimum 50% deposit for the ring will have to be made to keep it on hand. Please keep this in mind for longer engagement timelines!

This deposit kickstarts the creating process, and determines the finished date of the piece, with a lead time of 6-8 weeks.
