Driftwood 1 - “Cellito” Argyle Marquise Champagne Diamond & Ombré Australian Parti Sapphire Trilogy Engagement Ring

A quiet timber boardwalk leads you through a coastal rainforest, the closed canopy hushed and intimate before you emerge out into a postcard panorama of white sand, turquoise waters and clear sky. To the left, a headland of slanted rock and scrub leans out, almost breaking away from the mainland, hiding a tiny crystalline bay with a rock perfectly positioned for jumping. This juxtaposition of foliage and shoreline is my favourite feature of Cellito Beach and will always hold a special place in my heart. 

From sea to sand, the colour fade is reflected in the side stones - custom-faceted tapered bullet cut Australian Sapphires, a rarity on their own, let alone in a matched pair. Years of collecting smaller pieces paid off when I found the second piece, and whisked them off to the lapidarist to work her magic and make them into what they are today.
